Love Me Beauty June Box

The Love Me Beauty Box is a slightly different take on the tradition beauty box. You of course get a selection of branded products to your door, but you’re instead given credits to use as you see fit to truly personalise what you receive. This bespoke system allows you to get the beauty pieces you really want in your collection, and if you run out of credits, you can always pay to add more at a discounted subscriber price. At a mere £10 a box, plus postage and packaging, you’re getting a total bargain!

This month’s box features heavily on the big hitter range. You’ve got Elemis, a London brand that is so luxurious, I’ve only ever tried a few products. The British Botanical Shower Cream is filled with soothing lavender, chamomile, geranium and palmarosa for a rich aromatic experience that reminds me of hotel stays. For the bad sleepers, this one is a wonder to use right before bed! The Pro-Radiance Illuminating Flash Balm works to give a little radiance, while the Pro-Collagen Marine Cream Ultra-Rich is ideal for those with drier skin. A tube of Green People Vitamin Fix 24-Hour Cream is chock full of vitamins, minerals and fatty acids. I’ve been using this as a base before applying my foundation, and it’s dealing with the heat splendidly. My eyes were drawn to the Realine Beauty slim-line box when I first unzipped the daringly cute bag (seriously though, how awesome is it?), being white and rose gold with a well designed logo. The Frown Line Patches look a little daunting, but easy enough to apply and, left overnight, make my skin feel refreshed. Time will tell if they work to un-furrow my brow, as I sure don’t want any Gordon Ramsey going on in my later years…

I also got some lip goodies, which never fails to put a smile on my face. The boldest of which being Ofra Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick in the shade Palm Beach. Seems quite fitting considering I now live in California where the palm trees are like lavender bushes to the UK. The colour is a fair dupe to MAC’s Candy Yum-Yum, just with a much runnier consistency and I’m forever fretting that it’ll smudge. It just doesn’t seem to dry… Whereas I’ve fall head over heels for the Lord & Berry Crayon Lipstick offering in the shade 20100. It’s unlike anything I would ever pick up in store for myself, but gives me flashbacks to my pre-teen days and coating my lips in whatever Rimmel or Seventeen product I could get my hands on that was nude/beige enough to wear all year round. Now I’m a ‘grown-up’, I can see this colour for the sophisticated tone it deserves and I’ve already been wearing it around the house. The formula is shiny and moisturising, it’s hard to take it off!

If you sign up and use the exclusive code adrienne20, you’ll bag a hefty 20% off your first box. Which is worth it for the cute bag alone! I know that there are some Nails Inc Gel Effect Polishes up for grabs for 2 credits each, but as my parcel was international, they couldn’t be sent to me. Soho Place is a colour I’ve got my eye on…
