GHD-Hair-Brush GHD-Hair

If you know me personally, you will attest that I don’t like having to bother with my hair. I only run a hairbrush or comb through it when I absolutely have to and, even then, I’ve got a face like thunder. Forever the lover of ‘bed-hair’, I’ve not been one to invest a lot of time or money into how the mop on top of my head looks. But when ghd, the gods of luscious manes, offer up a plethora of products to tame my unruly locks, I can’t very well look a gift horse in the mouth!

Now, anyone worth their salt has either had a pair of ghd straighteners or pined after them, but most don’t know that they also deal in hair products ranging from hairspray to mousse and everything between. If, like me, you would rather spend that extra 5 minutes in bed then my quick and easy tousled hair tutorial might be just what you’re looking for.

Step 1
I always find my hair a little more versatile the day after a hair wash, so try to do this the night before if possible. I start by running the ghd Paddle Brush through my hair, paying close attention to the ends where they tend to get tangled together forming unsightly knots, and eliminating static.

Step 2
Apply a few pumps of ghd Total Volume Foam from root to tip, but concentrating on the roots for added body. Really massage it in to get a good texture going. Grab your hairdryer and use the paddle brush to blow-dry in slow, strong motions in the direction of hair growth. I can instantly see a difference once I’ve applied some heat to this, and it only takes about a minute for it to set in. Makes sure to crunch the hair in your hands to add natural waves.

Step 3
As my hair tends to look dull and flat, especially as the day wears on, a quick mist of ghd Final Shine Spray focused away from the roots does wonders. Not only does it instantly look like I’ve been in a Herbal Essences advert, but my flyaways stay in place and the glossy effect is undeniable. Plus, it seems heavenly. If you’re looking for a more natural finish, spraying into your hands and running your fingers through your hair is far more subtle.

VoilĂ ! The hair that says, “I woke up like this… but in the BEST possible way”. No Something About Mary over here.

What are your hair saviours?
