Guest Post - Day to Night Makeup

Day to Night Makeup

Hi everyone! I'm Ana Leote from Meet Me @ 2AM and today I'm guest posting for Adrienne while she's in California! I'm bringing you an easy day to night makeup look for those days when your mum is screaming at you to move fast or for when you oversleep!  All you need is your favourite makeup items that you carry around in your bag.

Keep things as easy and natural possible. You don't have a lot of time to do eyeliner, eyeshadow and lipstick so focus on your best feature and start creating. I like to draw all the attention to my eyes. With a few coats of mascara, a bit of bronzer on the crease and a highlighting eyeshadow on the lower lash line and inner corner, you create a simple and complementing eye look. Blush is a must to complete and if you can, choose a creamy one. It's easy to apply, you can just use your fingers! For the lips, choose a shade similar to your natural lip colour and dab it in using your fingers again. To finish the look, powder the T-Zone and you're ready to face the day!

For the night out, and imagining the only time you have is to change outfits, grab your make up bag and use what you have there. The Naked Basics Palette from Urban Decay is one of those items we all should carry around in our purses. It's so functional and I used it to create both looks. Again, focus on your best feature, since you already did that in the morning 50% of the job is already done. Start by applying the darkest shade you have on the crease, outer corner and lower lash line, smoking it a bit to make it more intense. Then, apply  the same shade used on the inner corner, all over the lid. The same bronzer used on the crease can be applied to the hollows of the cheeks. Keep the same lipstick because you're probably going to be eating and drinking and after a long day, you don't really want to worry about smudging it.

How do you take a look from day to night?
