Bourjois Bronzing Products

Bourjois Bronzing Products | www.latenightnonsense.com

Bourjois have most certainly had the best year for new releases. The cream to powders blushes and lip crayons stand out most to me and my collection have grown substantially thanks to the amazing makeup they continue to produce. A few products that were on my radar from release, but didn't make the transition to denting my bank balance until recently are the bronzing products.

Bourjois BB Bronzing Cream | www.latenightnonsense.com

Starting off with the BB Bronzing Cream, I can't believe I didn't invest sooner. I was on the hunt for a new foundation, the sun had darkened my skin and my usual products just weren't cutting it. Instead of putting a tenner into a darker shade of whatever it was I was using at the time, I found my eyes settling on the Bourjois bronzing products. For the same price I could get something that could do it all rather than a product that would only last me a month or two and see the bottom of the bin. The concept intrigued me, a makeup bronzer that was more like a BB cream. Either use it as a base or mix it in with your usual foundation to bring it down a shade or two. Perfect! I have found myself falling for this dark cream and have continued to use it past my tan fading. I now apply it to the areas I like to contour and really buff quite rigorously, failing that I add the smallest touch to my foundation for a hint of summer glow. At first the colour might put you off, but blending is like a dream and I've had no issues with 'orange face', which is a main draw for any bronzing item I purchase.

Bourjois Bronzing Primer | www.latenightnonsense.com

The second product is the Bourjois Bronzing Primer, something I never intended on buying. It wasn't until I saw Estée's post on it that I caved and promptly popped out to the shops. My issue had been that the colour, consistency and the application. It had always come across too dark when I'd swatched it in store and mousse had never been a formulation I enjoyed using either. Having seen that you apply it UNDER your foundation, everything changed. I take quite a liberal swipe of it, apply it under my cheekbones and really go to town blending it in. Then comes to foundation and you'll see such a subtle and natural shadow appear. It's definitely the best bronzer for getting a simple and understated definition, being able to layer it up afterwards if I find I've blended too harshly.

Now I'm hoping they release blush products along the same vein. A BB Blush Cream and Blush Primer? I'm seeing this as a big thing. Even just a lovely radiance BB or primer would make a world of difference. What would you like to see?

  1. I actually just picked up the Bronzing primer the other day! I'm really excited to try it out! I've refined myself from spending loads at Boots as of date and hope that this amount of self-restraint continues....longer. Haha! x

  6. This is such an interesting concept! I'm not really into bronzing products, but if they did the same things in blush form, I'd be all over it!! xx

  7. The bronzing primer looks so gorgeous! It's been on my radar for awhile, but obviously Bourjois isn't sold in the US! They just put it up on the US ASOS store, but it's sold out! Fingers crossed they'll get a new shipment in because it is just too beautiful to pass up! This post has me drooling, it's so pretty! xx

    1. It's not orangey at all and I find myself picking this up more often than not to contour my cheeks. The bb cream is perfect for the summer months.
