I'm a bath kinda girl normally, but with this heat I've been having more cold showers than anything else and it's been a real lifesaver. When I have baths I know what products I'll reach for on a daily basis, but with showers I'm slightly more invested and need to know that whatever I use is going to go the distance in the shortest space of time possible. Here are three products I've been loving recently.
1. Nivea's In Shower Body Moisturiser - If you're a regular reader of the blog, you'll know I've already typed up a fairly thorough review of this on Monday. It hasn't left my routine since testing it out, and for a dry skinned, moisturising dunce like myself, it can only be a good thing. The more I use it the better my skin has been feeling too!
2. SBC Creme Shower Gel with Passion Flower & Kukui Seed Oils* - I'm not usually one to go on about a particular shower gel or body wash, but when one smells as lovely as this and is satin smooth to touch, you can't help but get a little excited when shower time rolls around. I can't place my finger on the scent (even though it's written down for me on the bottle) but it reminds me of something from my childhood. A completely heady and warm smell that mellows into a light fragrance that's neither overpowering nor disappears quickly. The only downside is that it comes out of the tube a little too runny so I've wasted a lot of product just trying to put the cap back on, which is a real shame but won't put me off repurchasing!
3. Origins Zero Oli Deep Pore Cleanser - This is my second bottle which I think that says quite a lot about this product. I first bought it on a whim in John Lewis early last year and wasn't blow away initially however, after a few uses, the dramatic reduction of oil on my t-zone was so apparent I had a makeup free day that left me glowing. More of a dry/normal skin range generally, I still recommend this cleanser to soak up any bit of shine you might have without dehydration.
So there you have it, three wonderful tubes of goodness that I had to share. What can't you leave behind when taking a shower?
The Origins cleanser looks like something I'll have to try!
ReplyDeleteI always have to take some sort of bath glove or body puff in order to get a good lather from my products.

I've never actually tried a bath glove. Are they worth getting?

I finally picked up a sample of the Origins Zero Oil cleanser and I have yet to try it but I have high hopes for it already. I've definitely been on the hunt for a good oil-controlling cleanser to keep the shine away. I can't wait to give it a try.

I love the Origins samples! I've got a little Microdermabrasion sample and I've still not finished it. Need to pop into a store soon to pick up the full product.

The origins cleanser sounds like something I need! My shower always consists of soap & glory shower gel (currently sugar crush) and exfloiating gloves.

I keep hearing how everyone uses exfoliating gloves now, do I need to invest in one?

I used the Zero Oil cleanser for a few months and it was fine at first until I broke out from my Clairsonic and only made my pimples x100.

I've heard so many people say they had bad skin issues using the Clarisonic. Makes me scared to use it!

Need to try that Origins cleanser asap!

Really like the sound of the Origins cleanser! I've never tried them before but have just ordered the Gen Zing moisturiser. This might be my next Origins purchase!

I want to try the GinZing Moisturiser! Keep rubbing it on my hand in Boots and sniffing it all day long. Must be those coffee beans!

The shower gel looks so pretty! Can't imagine what it would smell like because I don't know either of the scents in the name, but it sounds so nice :)

My boyfriend said it smells a little like jellybeans, and I guess he's right. But maybe a little more grown up. ;)

It's become so handy to actually do this in the shower now. I was rubbish at moisturising afterwards.

I still need to pick up the Nivea shower moisturiser :)

The Nivea shower moisturiser really is great! I wrote a review on my blog a while ago. That sounds like a good shower regime you've got going haha xx

Thank you. :) It's wonderful, right?

I have tried that under the shower bodylotion by Nivea, and to be honest, I wasn't too impressed by it. My skin definitely felt softer afterwards, but I still felt like I need a little extra moisturizing.
ReplyDeleteThere are definitely areas that may need a little extra attention after, but as a girl that never moisturises (unless it's my face) I figure this is better than nothing and leaves my skin x100 better than if I hadn't at all.

I'm tempted by that Origins pore cleaner! I feel like my pores are clogging up like mad lately and no matter how I wash my face, they're still more clogged than...well, a broken drain.

It's great for removing excess sebum, so it's worth a shot.

Thanks for the comment on my blog, I just want to add a small reply:
ReplyDeleteI have heard that peoples often have break out in the beginning of using clarisonic, but maybe because the skin were not used to it. But many said it gets better if continue to use =)

I love that Nivea Inshower moisturizer :)
ReplyDeleteIt's such a great, cheap product. :)

I just discovered your blog, and I'm so happy I did! I haven't tried any of those products, but the Nivea moisturizer, and Origins Pore Cleanser are on my radar now! xx

Thanks for reading Valerie! Definitely nab the Nivea Moisturiser, as it's so cheap even if you don't find it works for you it's not so bad. And the Origins Pore Cleanser is one of my favourites. Even with my dry skin, I get the oily t-zone issue and this sorts it out straight away.

I love the Origins Zero Oil, I've only got a little tube but will definitely be buying the full size. I've heard loads about the Nivea In Shower moisturiser and really want to get my mitts on a bottle x
ReplyDeleteI want to pop into Origins soon to nab a few more samples, they are great for handing those out!
DeleteYes, Kirsty, you'll love it! As it's only a few quid you can't lose.
